SOUNDS OF NATURE - OPEN AIR PAVILION
Sounds of Nature explores how different noises can influence specific experiences throughout the site. The main objective of this project is to reduce noise pollution from a busy road while amplifying the sound of nature. The project consist of two pavilions, with the main pavilion constructed to be 22 feet tall and be offset 100 feet from the roadway to create a barrier from noise pollution. Another implementation was evergreens trees strategically placed at the north side of the site to create another natural barrier while also creating a sense of seclusion from the rather busy area of Southfield, Michigan.
