CONTAMINATION SITE IN DETROIT NEIGHBORHOOD
This project emphasizes the urgency of contamination in the neighborhood of Islandview, Detroit. It aims to achieve a cleaner and safer environment through rehabilitation. Currently, the site is a low-income area with the threat of hazardous chemical and sewage wastewater. When there is standing water, sewage overflow, or redevelopment, these chemicals can harm residents. So, if contaminated sites plague Islandview, then the reuse of open spaces, phytoremediation, contaminated lots, and the addition of urban farms and markets will promote more robust community engagement while reducing underlining health issues.
